A day-long conference addressing the concept of a new geologic age, or Anthropocene, the period during which human activities has been a dominant force on climate and environment. Discover how animals defend themselves against predators at Nature’s Ninjas, a new traveling exhibit at the Swaner EcoCenter. From porcupines to geckos, explore some of nature’s wildest defensive adaptations! Enjoy live animal shows during the exhibit and get up close and personal with some of nature’s most misunderstood animals.

Earth Day Alleycat from Aggie Blue Bikes

Special Event

Aggie Blue Bikes will be hosting an alleycat bike race. These races are beginner friendly and you may compete as a team or individually. Alleycat races are like scavenger hunts on bicycles. Riders will stop at checkpoints to complete challenges and additionally, can crack clues to take pictures of secret spots for more points. All of the checkpoints, challenges and clues will be sustainability themed. We expect this route to be no longer than 10 miles. The race will begin just after 10 AM at Aggie Blue Bikes and end at First Dam.
